I absolutely, wholeheartedly recommend visiting this church! It’s not widely known among tourists, which makes it all the more special — a true hidden gem in the heart of Paris.

I’m talking about the Church of the Kings — a stunningly beautiful place built in authentic medieval Gothic style. Majestic stained glass windows, intricate stone carvings, and an atmosphere of deep reverence and silence — everything here is steeped in history and grace.

Please note: visits are only possible with a prior reservation. Without it, getting in can be extremely difficult, especially in the evening before closing time — no one is allowed in at that point.

Although the church is currently undergoing restoration, it remains open to visitors, and the ongoing work does not diminish its beauty in any way. On the contrary — it’s wonderful to see how this sacred space is being preserved with care and respect for its history.

One of the most beautiful and atmospheric churches in Paris. I strongly recommend it to anyone looking to connect with the true spiritual and architectural heritage of the city.

We had tickets, so the line wasn’t oppressive. The interior was beautifully detailed. Even the floor was intricately inlaid. The windows were some of the finest stained glass that I have seen. Well worth the trip.

Beautiful!! A couple areas to view and a gift shop. Nothing too huge to explore. Also, don’t plan on chatting while inside as the staff will remind you to be quiet. They weren’t quite ready for us right away at 9, so don’t come overly early if you’re the first slot of the day.

I’m using Paris Museum Pass, it allows me to skip the long ticket lines, however, even if you book in advance, you have to wait in the specific line assigned to your booked time, you can’t enter directly. Also, early access is not possible, they follow your reservation time strictly. Remember to make a reservation online in advance. This helps secure entry at a preferred time and avoids the stress of waiting in crowds, which can get quite busy, especially during peak tourist seasons.

I’m not a church fanatic, but you have to see this one. The stained glass windows in the upper floor are world-class! It’s really unbelievably beautiful when the sun reflects in the glass. There are smaller shops downstairs, and a very nice tour up the small stairs upstairs, which is very cool. I recommend a visit, also visit in the afternoon, because you have to wait outside to enter, in the afternoon you will wait in the shade, also buy tickets in advance.
