Vast collection of antiques from every time period and place however the museum itself is very disable unfriendly with stairs being the only way to view some exhibits

An indeed fantastic place for arts and also a very presentable piece of frances own cultural heritage.

Bring a full day of time with you. Also the one negative aspect is that of bad manners by mostly asian people (not washing hands, being rude while traversing next to you) besides the not very smart navigation.

Beautiful and impressive place. It’s quite expensive to get in, so be prepared to spend the whole day there and get your money’s worth

Great place, a lot of people but it’s a must see on paris, a nice variety of sculptures and paintings, huge museum, for multiple visits

Beautiful building and amazing collection of artworks. Let down by massive overcrowding. Don’t come in the peak tourist season, there doesnt look like a cap on numbers, they just jam in as many people as possible. So it ends up been a battle of self preservation. Couldn’t fathom what would happen if there was a fire or emergency. Map both hard copy and digital is confusing and when you think your going in the right direction you’re not. Internal staff don’t help with this as well, very dismissive and give very vague directions.
Museum of fine arts in Lyon was such a better experience with less crowds with a smaller but still impressive collection.
