The organization of the museum is commendable, with informative displays, such as the “800 Years of Architecture” exhibit and the detailed model of the Louvre’s evolution, offering valuable context to the palace’s transformation from fortress to museum.
While the Mona Lisa is undeniably a draw, viewed securely behind its protective glass, the Louvre offers so much more than just a single painting. Wandering through the long, majestic halls, filled with classical sculptures like the imposing Apollo, allows for discovery at every turn. The layout encourages exploration, leading visitors through diverse collections that span eras and civilizations. Despite the crowds, especially in popular areas, the flow generally remains manageable, a testament to the museum’s design and management. We went out of the season, and it was still very crowded but worth it! Most beautiful art pieces are on display and not to even start with the majestic art all over the ceilings. It is absolutely majestic and worth a bit of time in a queue.

An amazing experience, so many great works in one place. We bought our tickets in advance and entered the Carousel entrance, so we didn’t wait at all to enter. The museum is huge, you can spend hours in it. it consists of several parts that are interconnected, but also quite difficult to navigate and move from part to part

Beautiful, but very poorly managed: it is very difficult to move around the museum to visit all the rooms and sections. Notably, the Gioconda room is extremely packed and smelly, while some sections very close to it are completely empty and ignored by tourists. Also, several lifts were suddenly closed without explanation, and some toilets were very dirty.

You cannot miss this experience. It is a labyrinth of amazing wonders. You will get lost. Bring energy you will need to do many steps and stairs. There will be a line to get in at your reserved time but the line moves fast and is managed properly. Wish we had a couple days to spend inside.
